Call for proposals open: sustainable transport in Thailand

We are pleased to announce that the UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK PACT) programme has launched a new funding opportunity in Thailand in the sustainable transport sector. 

Thailand UK PACT is seeking to extend its support to Thailand’s climate actions in sustainable transport through technical assistance and capacity-building projects. The deadline for applications is 18 September 2024, 18:00 ICT/ 11:00 UTC.

What are we looking for?

UK PACT will award grants for projects that strengthen policy and capacity for transitioning Thailand's transport sector to lower GHG emissions, increase knowledge, awareness, and practices on integrated public transport and EV use, and improve design, planning, and service delivery for inclusive urban infrastructure and integrated transport.  The focus will be on three intervention areas:
 

Area of intervention 1: Integrated land-use & transport planning with interventions on active mobility, non-motorised transport & transit-oriented development (TOD).

Area of intervention 2: Push & pull policy improvement support with interventions on push policies of congestion charging combined with pull policies on integrated public transport.

Area of intervention 3: Green, low-emission transport with interventions on electrification.

Who can apply?

All organisations that consider themselves capable of delivering the project activities presented may submit proposals, considering aspects such as cost-effectiveness, project management, impacts on GEDSI (Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion), technical capacity of the organisation or proposing consortium. For-profit organisations can apply, but all projects must be delivered on a not-for-profit basis. Government agencies and/or departments are not eligible to apply either as a lead organisation, or as a partner organisation within consortium.
