Join our market engagement webinar to find out how you can apply for grant funding for the urban planning and mobility Call for Proposals within the UK PACT (Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions) programme in India. Please note, this event will be hosted in English.
We invite all organisations with relevant experience in delivering technical assistance and capacity-building projects in the urban planning and mobility sector to register. This could be both international and local think-tanks, consultancies, academic institutions, NGOs, professional associations, or any similar organisations with the knowledge, skills and experience to receive grant funding and deliver an eligible project.
We are looking to award grant funding for projects aimed at supporting the municipal corporations in Thoothukodi and Erode, located in Tamil Nadu, India. This funding will accelerate low-carbon development and strengthen climate resilience, improve governance, and facilitate the delivery of integrated urban planning and sustainable mobility solutions in these cities. Project activities should be directed towards providing technical assistance and capacity-building for key counterparts.
Funding is available for one project each covering all the three themes in the city of Erode and Thoothukudi as mentioned below. We welcome applications from a consortium that could deliver on all the three themes in each city. A single consortium can apply for all themes across both the two cities. The consortium must endeavour to have one local partner from the state.

Jointly governed and funded by the UK Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) through the UK's International Climate Finance, it works in partnership with countries with high emissions reduction potential to support them to implement and increase their ambitions for tackling climate change.
